A thank you should also be said to all the International visitors who came and celebrated with us in Vancouver, the whole event was well attended and positive because of your fine conduct.

Canada’s athletes have made our country so proud.  Canadians wore team colours and waved flags in an unprecedented way. The final outcome of the Gold Hockey was like the ending of an unbelievable Hollywood movie, with odds stacked up high on both sides, and it all came down to one final goal by the hero we desperately needed! Thank you to all Canadian athletes for a job so well done.

And to close, thank you to all participating countries and to the IOC for an amazing games.
